“It's difficult to point to all of the ways that Jon had a massive impact on the product and team at Uber. He's the mind behind almost all major airports features and designs in both the Rider and Driver apps. Besides designing airport features, he worked effectively across teams and sites to create re-usable components that were broadly leveraged. What really made Jon stand out was his engineering empathy and sensibilities. Jon spent many hours a day sitting with engineer ICs and leaders on the team, discussing app concepts and ideas for providing the most value with the limited engineering cycles available. On top of that, Jon always went out of his way to provide detailed growth feedback to all of his engineering partners. He was a strong cultural presence on the team that always brought a sense of "we're all in this together" to the team. I can't wait to work with him again.”
